The Macon County Historical Society is a non-profit organization, which is dependent on outside sources of income to continue to collect, preserve and display the rich cultural history of Macon County.

Our museum receives hundreds of visitors every month and has more than 50,000 website visits annually. We would like to thank our sponsors, patrons and members for their support and have added links to their sites below.

Smoky Mountain Internet Services, Inc SM Net provides the Historical Society Museum with high speed internet access, which includes a work station for patrons and a wireless hotspot. There is no charge for patrons to use the work station or to access the internet with their own laptop. Donations, of course, are always appreciated.
